About Us

These are hard times for journalists. Our jobs are being cut, our standards compromised. It doesn’t have to be that way. Together, the members of the News Media Guild are working to bring the best of the past into the future.

The News Media Guild  represents journalists, technicians, and support personnel at Associated Press, the Spanish-language EFE News Service, and United Press International.  Together, we bargain over wages and working conditions to secure quality journalism.

This Web site is your tool - to connect with other employees, discuss problems, seek advice, share ideas and information, form friendships and work together for a better future.

Don't have a union at your newsroom?  You can start one! Please contact us by filling out this form

A note to our International Visitors: We are also partners with the International Federation of Journalists, which helps defend press freedoms around the world.  If you're a non-manager working for AP outside the U.S., you can participate in aspecial forum by signing up.
