The Associated Press on Monday proposed expansive changes to the sick leave policy, part of which responded to News Media Guild concerns about the amount of sick time granted to people with less seniority. After 90 days of service, a new employee would get 10 days sick leave, then be covered by a new short-term disability plan providing an additional one week at full pay plus 24 weeks at 60 percent of pay.
