Yesterday was a mentally exhausting and ultimately very disappointing day. The bargaining went past 11pm last night and while we did reach tentative agreements on most things, we did not reach an overall deal. There are a lot of good things in what was agreed to, and we will have a bulletin out as soon as we can on Saturday with full details.
In the meantime I know wages is at the top of everyone’s minds, so I want to let everyone know the AP stood fast on raises of 2.5%, 2%, and 2% with a lump sum of $2,000. Hearing what people have been saying about the lump sums, and about the initial wage offer that only saw a miniscule improvement, we could not accept that.
